Privacy Policy

B-Side Story collects as little personal data as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

Who is responsible

The data controller is Celio Feltrin Junior, who runs B-Side Story. Contact: hello@bsidestory.com.

What we collect and why

  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send you the weekly email. The legal basis is your consent, which you confirm by clicking the link in our confirmation email. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to reply and handle your request.
  • Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Who processes your data for us

  • Buttondown, which stores the newsletter list and sends the emails.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website and provides the visit statistics.

Both companies are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Emails you send us are deleted once they are no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to hello@bsidestory.com. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
